Chateau De Charmes 2017Unoaked

Chardonnay is still one of the most popular white varieties in the world. It may have to do with how versatile it can be; you can have unoaked, lightly oaked and full-on, no-holds barred woody Chardonnay. We believe that if you are going to oak-age any wine it should be done judiciously so the fruit notes can still come through and this is a terrific example of that approach. This Chardonnay was barrel fermented with extended lees contact and aged for about nine months in the same French oak barrels. It has a creamy, buttery texture with melon and pear flavours. The wine is quite rich and can develop in the bottle for a few years.

Chateau De Charmes Cabernet Merlot 2018

This Cabernet- Merlot is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot sourced from several different vineyards. We like to use a combination of sources for this wine to achieve a consistency in the bottle vintage to vintage. The juice underwent cold-soak maceration for the first three days with the remainder temperature controlled. A few months in French oak barrels added complexity and a hint of spice, but not to overpower the wonderful bouquet of strawberry and cassis. The tannins are nicely integrated and balanced. This wine is drinking well now but will continue to evolve in the bottle for several more years. 750 ML

Les Jamelles - Pinot Noir

Our Pinot Noir Les Jamelles has a dark colour, with ruby tints. It has scents of red and black berries mixed with floral notes, together with hints of delicate wood and vanilla. It is complex, rich, long and fat on the palate. It displays aromas of crushed black fruits (blackberries, blackcurrants, cherries) and jam. The tannins are plump and well-integrated. Unlike many Pinot Noirs grown in the Pays d'Oc, this wine is not dominated by heaviness or an excessive over-ripeness.
